Cerec AC - Restore
Your Smile, Keep Your
Schedule
No
Temporaries…
No Messy
Impressions...
One
Appointment!
CEREC® technology
allows your team of
professionals at River’s
Edge Dental Clinic to
quickly restore damaged
teeth with
natural-colored ceramic
(all-porcelain)
restorations right here
in our office and all in
a single appointment! No
temporaries or second
appointments are
necessary and the
esthetics are beautiful!

In one appointment we can
diagnose and prepare a
damaged tooth, create an
optical impression of
that tooth and use CEREC
technology to design and
mill a precise and
beautiful restoration,
which is then bonded to
your tooth.
What is CEREC?
CEREC is an
acronym for Chairside
Economical Restoration
of Esthetic Ceramics, or
CERamic REConstruction.
Translated, it means
that your River’s Edge
Dental dentist can
economically restore
damaged teeth in a
single appointment using
a high-quality ceramic
material that matches
the natural color of
other teeth and provides
the long term strength
you desire.

How does this technology
work? CEREC uses
CAD/CAM (Computer Aided
Design/Computer Aided
Manufacturing)
technology,
incorporating a camera,
computer and milling
machine in one
interconnected piece of
technological equipment.
Your River’s Edge Dental
dentist will use a
special high tech camera
(Blue Cam) to take a
precise set of images of
the prepared tooth. This
optical impression is
transferred and
displayed on a color
computer screen, where
they will use 3-D CAD
technology to design the
restoration right before
your eyes. Then CAM
takes over and
automatically fabricates
the restoration in less
than ten minutes. During
this short milling
process you can spend
your time watching a
movie from our DVD
library or perhaps
enjoying some time of
relaxation or, if you
choose, you can watch
your beautiful new crown
be fabricated right
before your eyes. You’ll
be amazed when you watch
this technology!
Finally, the restoration
will be bonded to the
surface of your tooth
allowing you to once
again have a strong,
healthy and beautiful
smile in just about an
hour.

What does this
innovation mean for the
patient?
A tooth-colored restoration
means no more unsightly
restorations that will
detract from beautiful
smiles. The restoration
is natural-looking,
compatible with tissue
in the mouth,
anti-abrasive and
plaque-resistant. No
longer is there a need
to create temporaries or
take impressions and
send them to a lab and
wait weeks for a final
restoration. Because of
this, the traditional
second visit has been
eliminated. CEREC has
two decades of clinical
research and
documentation to support
the technology. The
restorations have been
proven precise, safe and
effective.

How can I find out if
this is an option for
me? Call your

Dental Clinic, as we
will be happy to answer

about this incredible
new technology.
